This year, like it has for the past few years, the Melbright Cup Trophy has gone on tour to foster even more interest in the annual race.

Tonight the Trophy is visiting yet another charitable venue, a gala organised by the Riding for the Disabled Club.

Unfortunately things go horribly wrong. Seymour Crooks the security guard is discovered murdered, but even worse… the Trophy on display is found to be a fake!

The Cast:

• Detective Inspector Bruce McBruce – The policeman sent to solve the crime
  Efficient in his own peculiar way, Bruce McBruce has an unusual method of solving crimes – he involves everyone! If anything he is more like a bungling detective than a methodical one, but it has to be said, he does get results.



• Clarence Mount - The Melbright Cup Tour Manager.
  Handsome, suave and sophisticated Clarence Mount prides himself on his appearance and is always dressed in tailor made clothing.



• Shelly Beech – MelbrightCup Chief of Security.
  Beautiful and deadly, Shelly is always in her security guard uniform and woe betide anyone who messes with her – her hands are deadly weapons!



• Ted Kelly – Local Security Guard
  A bit of a ladies man, Ted is extremely good looking in a rough sort of way and strong. He dresses trendily and wears enough cologne to sink a battle ship!



• William “Billy” Bong – Local Man.
  Rough and ready for anything, William “Billy” Bong is a scruffy local who is often in hot-water with the police.



• Anne Zacks – Radical Environmentalist.
  Ready to protest about everything and anything, Anne Zacks is always in practical clothing and waving a placard.



• Victoria Derby – Chair of the Riding for the Disabled Club.
  Fascinated by horse racing and defiantly part of the racing set, Victoria is always dressed for the races, with a fancy hat and an extremely fashionable dress or suit.

Never run a large group mystery before? Then don't panic!

Hosting a Large Group Murder Mystery is time consuming, but with ample preparation and a good cast it is really quite simple and great fun!

In large group games it is impossible to give everyone a part, instead the mystery involves “cast members” who are fully in the know and act out the mystery, and the guests act as detectives trying to solve the murder.

Large group games come in several different formats, clue based, cast based, multi-room, single room, or a mixture of them all.

This particular game requires 7 cast (who are fully in the know), use of 1 large room with stage area, and several prop clues.

This mystery requires advance preparation, the more notice you have, and the more preparation and effort you put in to running the mystery, the better it will run for your guests.

One murder occurs before the guests arrive and one during the event.

Your guests play the role of detectives. You can have any number of detectives for this mystery, your only limit is the size of your room, and the time you have available.
