For the last 50 years, archeologists and museums have been searching for an as yet undiscovered Mayan city.

Dubbed Site Q by the academic fraternity, artefacts supposedly recovered from the site by local inhabitants have been available on the black market since around 1965. The location of the site, however, has remained a mystery. Until now…

Doug Oles, eminent archeologist and team leader of one of many archeological expeditions to the New World, has discovered a previously unknown city nestling in the hills of the heavily forrested region of the Yucatan peninsula.

Confident of his ability to prove that the site, which he has named as “Nova Corona”, is Site Q, Doug has called a preview dinner and invited celebrities and co-workers to an after dinner lecture in which he hopes to present not only his compelling evidence, but also a sensational new find.

However, at the pre-dinner drinks, tragedy strikes. Doug Oles is reported dead.

The question is, who killed him and why?

• Dick Branston - Millionaire philanthropist.
  Flashy and energetic, Dick is a successful entrepreneur with a lot of passion for life, people and new ideas.



• Lotta Cacao - Luxury chocolatier.
  Lavishly dressed with a distinct and opulent style, Lotta has rich hidden depths but loves shiny outer wrappings.



• Charles Champagne - Flamboyant French ambassador.
  A passionate Frenchman with a distinctive tricolour tie, Charles is a smooth talker and enjoys the company of women.



• Erma Dazzle - Movie star.
  Sophisticated and elegant, Erma has a sparkling presence and some very chic clothing.



• Frank Apprezel - Artist, illustrator and caricaturist.
  Never without his artists sketch book and prone to scribbling frantically, Frank is suitably dressed for the celebrity occasion, even if he does have pencils and paintbrushes sticking out of his pockets.



• Anne De’Chissel - Sculptress.
  With an eye for detail and a strong sense of proportion, Anne dresses artistically and loves texture in her clothing.



• Jimmy Capstones - Student archeologist.
  Young and exuberant, Jimmy has abandoned his tatty archaeologist’s clothing and instead is wearing his father’s tuxedo in honour of this auspicious occasion.



• Gigi Venchi - Supermodel turned fashion designer.
  Wearing exclusive haute couture, Gigi is stylish and looks like she’s just stepped off the catwalk in Milan.

Never run a murder mystery before? Then don't panic!

There is no special acting required. Guests do not need to memorise any information, and everything they need to play their parts is provided to them in a handy printable booklet. The games are constructed so that everyone has to interact, and scripted dialogues are included to help break the ice and get everyone into character. Even total novices get into the swing of things quite quickly!

The game includes the option of, either a sound file, or a script for Detective Inspector Gonzales Speedy who provides the setting, clues, and summaries for each round, as well as the final solution. Which means as host, you too can play and remain completely in the dark as to the culprit.
